HBO anunció que John Oliver regresa en su octava temporada con el talk show Last week tonight with John Oliver que se transmitirá por HBO y estará disponible por streaming en HBO Go.
El show está producido para HBO por Avalon y Sixteen String Jack Productions. Tiene producción ejecutiva de John Oliver, Tim Carvell, Liz Stanton, Jon Thoday y James Taylor. La dirección es de Paul Pennolino y Christopher Werner.
La octava temporada estrena el 15 de febrero.
